That is why we have launched a new competition so London’s brightest entrepreneurs can win a free workspace within beyond Aldgate Tower for three months.
Why now?
The UK’s entrepreneurial spirit has been on display for all to see throughout the pandemic. A record 780,760 new businesses were formed in the UK in 2020, followed by another 771,617 in 2021.
In many instances, these startups were founded as new opportunities emerged as a result of the extraordinary, unprecedented upheaval Covid-19 caused to businesses and consumers alike. Further, with millions placed on furlough or made redundant during the first year of the pandemic, many chose to start their own venture instead.
Now, with restrictions removed and a sense of normality returning, many of London’s newest entrepreneurs will be looking for their first workspace. It will be an important step in their growth as they move from bedroom businesses to scaling companies.
beyond’s new competition is designed to support them. We are offering ten offices (one-person and two-person) to ten different entrepreneurs or start-ups, all for free for three months.
Any London-based entrepreneur who has started a new company between March 2020 and March 2022 can apply. But they must be looking for their first rented workspace.
To apply, entrepreneurs must complete a simple form about their business, and submit a short video (one or two minutes) explaining how having access to beyond Aldgate Tower will support the growth of their venture.
Entries will close on Friday 29th April 2022, with the ten winners selected in early May.
Opened in March 2022, beyond Aldgate Tower is located at 2 Leman Street within the iconic Aldgate Tower, an impressive 16-floor glass building at the heart of this emerging district.
